Stephanie Powers' expressive works reflect a lifelong fascination with sunlight, personality, and the warmth of lived spaces, shaped by years of observation and joyful creativity.
Stephanie Powers was born in Providence, spent her formative years in Swansea, Massachusetts, and attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1973. Post-college, she moved to Washington D.C. and began a career in business. The last segment of her work life was spent at Dulles Airport, working on the design, operation, construction and development of the duty-free and retail shops, as well as the restaurants and eateries.
Retirement in 2018 afforded Stephanie the opportunity to turn to her true passion – painting. As of 2026, she has completed more than 36 pet portraits, over 21 home portraits, and 30 other commissioned works.
